The Recipe - Step by Step

Spaghetti Bolognese

 

Ingredients for 6–8 portions:

1 onion
1 clove garlic
1 carrot
500 g ground beef
Salt
Pepper
200 ml vegetable brooth (instant)
70 g tomato paste
1 tsp oregano
400 g diced tomatoes with herbs
500 g spaghetti

Peel and finely dice the onion, garlic, and carrot. Add the ground beef to a pan, heat slowly, and fry it in its own fat while stirring. Season with salt and pepper. Add the diced onions, garlic, and carrots to the pan and briefly sauté. Deglaze with the vegetable broth. Stir in the tomato paste, oregano, diced tomatoes, and tomato ketchup. Let it simmer for about 40 minutes. Cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain through a sieve, rinse with cold water, and serve together with the sauce.
